It is often the most shocking, the cruelist and the vileist of acts that cause mankind to show their best, to love the most and cause the biggest difference. I pray this is true of Thomas\' death!

I'm a native of Belfast and I keep in contact through the online newspapers. I learned of Thomas's death last year and reflected in the conventional way how painful it must be for a parent to bury a child, but without any real emotional understanding. Recently my own son died. He was a few years older than Thomas but in the same position of having most of a promising and healthy life ahead of him. I now appreciate with agonising clarity the pain of a young death. The useless but obsessive contemplation of childhood episodes that could have been handled much better with hindsight. The profound regret at the unrealised potential. And hardest of all, and aside from any achievements or potential, a belated awareness of the essence of the person who will never again walk through the door. You have my sincerest sympathy. |

I've been keeping up to date on devlopments on this murder or thomas. I was one of the people whom he played games on the internet with. We were in a "clan" which is where a bunch of us play the game as a team and try to win matchs. I really liked thomas (he's nickname on the game was stromblad) and i was reglary howling in larfter at what us guys us to talk bout and share jokes about. I only knew him for a short time but he touched my life and graced it for a short time. It was taken away from him so horribly and i hope he's in a better place now smiling down upon us. |

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I have a young son and I just can't imagine what it would be like if I lost him.
Lets hope these people are caught and brought to justice soon. |
